Taylor Swift for Keds Collection

Chelsea is no longer updating 'Tis So Sweet, but you can find her on her new blog, Rosario Creative Co.

I'm a Taylor Swift fan. Yes, she has her moments, but her feminine & playful style always stands out. Recently, she came out with a Ked's collection. I love Keds and absolutely fell in love with her patterns. Now I'm dying to get my hands on the teal polka dot pair (I'm a turquoise freak)!

You can find these fantastic shoes at Nordstrom, Journey's, or online.

Recipes For Strawberry Season

Here in Florida, we make a big deal about strawberries. In Plant City (the strawberry capital), someone is crowned Strawberry Queen each year. I get really excited this time of year because Publix marks down their strawberries to two for $4. As I personal strawberry hoarder, I've found they go bad quickly so I wanted to provide some recipes that call for strawberries!

Mint Office Inspiration

Written across my calendar this Saturday was, "Clean out guest room!" Since moving in nearly six months ago, the husband and I have tossed all of our miscellaneous wedding decor, rubbermaid bins, unfinished projects, and garage sale items in one room. Since our happy little rental is a historic bungalow, it doesn't exactly have a linen closet, pantry, or shelving (oh, those luxuries).

After relocating all of our garage sale stuff to the front room for this Saturday's big sale and filling three utility trash bags full of trash, we could see the guest room floor. Many hours of why do I still have this? later we had an (almost) empty guest room.

The next morning my husband woke up and said, "I want to design the guest room." I think he could finally see potential in the room. Fast forward three days and we have two coats down and one coat left of the most wonderful paint color you've ever seen (Sherwin Williams Sea Salt). Side note: I would have never thought we'd get as extreme as painting, but the husband said it was part of the whole design aesthetic and how could I work in a space with walls the color of dirty cement?

All of this to say, here's a little office inspiration on this Thursday morning.

Nautical

Chris and I have been trying to decide what to get each other for Christmas.
Chris, being the generous guy that he is, requested that I set aside most of the money I would spend on his gift to buy a cow for a family in need through World Vision.
He is pretty awesome like that.

I'm attempting to do a mostly handmade Christmas for my family.
I've usually been the one to end up at the mall at 6am on Christmas Eve to get that last minute gift, so DIY-ing is probably the best.
I'm proud to say I'm one project down.

Windy Nights

Grab a skirt and umbrella and head outside to Mary Poppins in the sky. The weather is blustery tonight.

I'm glad that Chris and I didn't buy chimes today...something about wind and chimes reminds me of the M. Night Shyamalan movie Signs.  Chills.

As a graphic designer, I'm always trying to use my design programs for everything. Lately, it's been interior design and home decor. I wish I was proficient in AutoCAD, but that's pretty far down on the to-learn list. Here I sit working on Christmas decor mock-ups right now.

Chris and I spent the afternoon at this place called The Barn. It's every tchotchke loving mom's paradise. Between the mantels filled with floral arrangements, vines, and vases of all sizes there are some good finds. Plus, they have a whole building dedicated to Christmas decor. Later, we hit up Hobby Lobby with all of their 50% off Christmas merchandise. I'm trying to hold off until next week to put it all up. I'm so excited to decorate our first place.

Hope you keep your feet on the ground this windy evening...

Sorbet Chic Style

I've been thinking that it's time I give you a hint as to what we're planning for our wedding. I can't give everything away, seeing that we have a couple tricks up our sleeve.

What we really desire is a relaxing evening for all of our closest friends and family as we share our special day together. We don't any stuffiness or weird traditions that include drunk men and garters. We want everything to feel natural and organic in the sense that the whole event flows together as one dynamic, intimate, whimsical day. We want our photographer to capture the goofy grins on our faces as well as the sweet, quiet moments with each other and our families.

We don't want our day to feel like a carbon copy of the couple who got married at the same venue the week prior, nor do we want to feel rushed or unimportant. We want our day to be memorable, personalized, thought through, and just plain old magical, dangit!

So, on the road to creating a wedding masterpiece, we've chosen peach/coral to be our color of choice. And yes, I have been pinning my faves on Pinterest like crazy. Here's a few to give you an idea of what we are planning:

Daisy Days

Daisies are fun because they are simple, flirty, and youthful. My boyfriend gave me a beautiful bouquet of daisies for Valentine's Day. What a sweet man.

According to Pioneer Thinking, Daisies represent innocence. I'd say they are the perfect gift for a friend or family member if you're thinking of spreading a little love around.

Have a sweet day!

Amy Atlas Addict

I have a confession to make. I am completely and utterly addicted to Amy Atlas' dessert tables. They are like pretzel M&Ms--once you pop you can't stop.
